On behalf of all the staff and children, I would like to extend a warm welcome to Crowhurst C.E. Primary School.
We are very proud of our school, which has a friendly, caring and supportive Christian ethos, with a highly motivated team who are committed to helping all our pupils achieve success. A distinctive feature of the school is its small size and friendly atmosphere that enables everyone, from pupils to staff, to be valued, supported and nurtured.
At Crowhurst C.E. Primary School we believe that the development of a child’s self-esteem is a key element to their future success, as well as an education that addresses the variety of ways pupils learn.
The partnership between home and school is so important if children are to be successful in their learning. The school has an ‘open-door’ policy and we encourage parents to contact us whenever they have a query or concern.
We believe our strong partnership with St. George’s Church through Foundation Governors, weekly and festival services along with the Christian values which permeate daily life at school help our children to develop both spiritually and morally.
Today we live in a society where careers are rapidly changing, with people needing constant training and retraining throughout their lives. Ultimately, our goal is to provide an education where children are given the knowledge, skills and understanding to become life long learners.
Our vision for education at Crowhurst is to marry the individual needs of the learner and their preferred learning styles to the curriculum. We believe this to be the true value of education, helping children to have belief in themselves as learners and thus develop the confidence and inner strength to cope with the challenges that life throws at them.
